About

Two owners. One crew. Built to remove what was built to last.

Boiler & Chiller Killers is a Colorado LLC founded in 2017 and run by two working managing members who knew each other for twenty years before they signed anything. One of them is on the floor of every job. This is who they are and how they got here.

How it started

Friend, then family, then business partners

Saber Dean and Gadge Bell met at fourteen and fifteen, in 2008, two kids carrying more than most kids carry, who recognized it in each other. They grew up together, made it through the hard years together, and somewhere in the decade that followed the word friend stopped being accurate. Saber's kids have never known Gadge as anything but Uncle Gadge, and Saber's wife has never known him as anything other than a brother-in-law. The family they have is the one they chose, tended and built, long before there was a company to build.

Then they went two different directions on purpose. Gadge went into heavy construction at eighteen, in 2011, with HVAC demolition on the side for extra cash. The side work quickly became the job, full time under one of Colorado's most respected mechanical demolition contractors, and in September 2017 he founded Boiler & Chiller Killers with a truck, a torch and a reputation for showing up. Saber went into aerospace as a floor inspector after his daughter was born and spent the next ten years working up through auditor, engineer and manager, learning how to turn skill into a repeatable, documented process inside one of the most demanding industries there is, aerospace and defense. He helped put things in space.

In spring 2026 the paths converged. Gadge's mentor was retiring and passing along the work. Saber wanted to build something that would last longer than a program. Twenty years of trust made the decision easy; the two skillsets made it make sense. The partnership went effective June 1, 2026: fifty-fifty, two managing members, one company. Neither of them could have built it alone, and neither of them wanted to.

Gadge Bell

Foundation. Heavy construction at eighteen, with HVAC demolition on the side; the side work quickly became the trade, full time under a mentor who taught him to do it the right way and later handed him the relationships that became BCK's backbone. Founded the company in 2017 and ran 585 invoiced jobs before the partnership, from residential water heaters to a 52-million-BTU boiler, on top of the thousands of removals across his career.

What he brings. He owns the jobsite. First in, last out, sets the sequence, makes the cuts, moves the iron, and outworks every person on the floor. He trains his crew patiently, keeps them safe, and knows where the weight is, where the old insulation hides, which section fights back and how to get a piece through a door framed before the boiler went in. OSHA 30. Forklift certified.

Saber Dean

Foundation. Went into aerospace as a floor inspector after his daughter was born and spent ten years working up: quality auditor, AS9100 lead auditor, quality engineer, program and quality manager, first-article inspection and certification documentation on flight hardware. Worked as hired labor beside Gadge over the years, then came in as the operations partner in 2026 and learned the trade on the tools, under Gadge's lead, while building the company's systems at night.

What he brings. He turns field mastery into a system that repeats and scales: the estimate, the contract, the technical analysis and rigging plan, and a closeout package with traceability from the first photo to the last invoice. Leads business development and technical operations. OSHA 30. EPA 608 Universal. On the floor when the job needs him, Sawzall in hand, documenting the whole way.

Gadge's craft is the product. Saber's systems make it repeatable, provable and scalable. The trust between them is why the company can do things a crew that met last month simply can't.

How BCK works

What the aerospace side does to a demolition company

Field mastery on one side, quality-system discipline on the other. Together they look like this on a job.

An owner on every job

A BCK principal provides working field supervision whenever field operations are underway. That is in the contract, not just on this page.

Plan before the torch

Weights from nameplates and photos, checked with a tape at the walk. Load paths, sequence and fire discipline decided before the first cut.

Cleaner than they found it

Floors protected, room swept, photographed. Every job, including the same-day ones.

Document it like flight hardware

Scope verification, captioned photo record, recovery documentation, certification of completion. Delivered with the final invoice.

  • 0 lost-time incidents since the company was formed.
  • 600+ jobs completed since 2017, every one invoiced and accounted for.
  • 18 jobs in the first quarter of the partnership, eleven of them commercial contracts.
  • If it needs removal, BCK removes it.

Built with intent

Family is everything. Not just the one you're born with.

Saber and Gadge built this company from less than nothing, and they know exactly what it is for. It is how they take care of the people they are responsible for, and how they show the kids in their lives that hard work in the right direction gets you somewhere. A lot of people they grew up with never got that chance.

The family they have is not the one either of them was handed. It is the one they chose, tended, fed, led and grew: two men who became brothers by choice, the mother who chose them both, the kids who grew up calling one of them Uncle, and the neighbors and friends who became crew. That is the foundation the company stands on, and it is real. Everything about how BCK is run comes from it.

So they run it the way they try to run everything: with intent. Do the hard thing because it is the right thing. Hire the neighbor who wants to learn before the stranger who wants a check. Pay the crew before the owners. Show up for their mothers, their church, and the block they live on, whether that means a neighbor's truck that won't start, a heavy thing that needs moving, or a gutter that needs cleaning. Lead the way for the kids watching, because they are watching. Rough around the edges, strong together, and honest about both.

None of that is a marketing line. It is why the room is clean when BCK leaves.

The crew

Orange shirts, white hard hats, same rules

Beyond the two owners, BCK runs a crew that scales with the job: hands they have worked with for years, trained their way, and a bench of three or four OSHA-trained people they call when a job needs more, all covered under BCK's insurance. No day-labor pools. Everyone on a BCK site is OSHA-trained, briefed every morning, and held to the same standard for protection, fire discipline and cleanup.

Where BCK is headed

Bigger plants, same standard

The largest boiler BCK has removed is 52 million BTU. The largest it has bid is 80. The plan for the next two years is more of the same, done the same way: rigger-signaler and CPR/AED certifications for both owners, forklift for Saber, EPA 608 for Gadge, and the coverage depth and certified payroll that institutional and government work asks for. Front Range first, the rest of Colorado for the right job, and neighboring states when it is worth the drive.

Boilers. Chillers. Mechanical systems.
We make them disappear.

A range in about a minute, or a site walk and a written proposal within 48 hours. Either way you're talking to an owner.
